Lieutenant James Whittier (USS Courageous)

received the

TF XO Unit of Merit Award

TF XO Unit of Merit Award

with the following reason:
James Whittier boarded the Courageous almost the same day that Gregory Ben Tailor was given command of the ship. Although his original application was for the role of executive officer, Whittier accepted a role in the security/tactical department and was willing to prove his merits to be the executive officer without any promise of ever receiving that position. Since that time, Whittier has proven himself to be a most capable and loyal member of the Courageous. He has set the standard for regular and consistent posting on a near daily basis, typically several posts per day. His participation is among the best of all the members, both in-character and out-of-character.

Since receiving this award, James Whittier has been promoted to Commander.
Since receiving this award, James Whittier transferred to Langley Station.
