In response to a subplot developed by the Chief Engineer for the current mission, which attributed power failures aboard the station to Romulan sabotage, Lt. Leigh developed a assisted in repairing the damaged EPS conduits. When the sabotage continued she developed a method to track the power failures which indicated that they were the responsibility of the Romulan consul aboard the Protector. In order to do so she developed a new power conduit that provided detailed information about its failure, such as time, circumstance and other details. Such information was transmitted to the on duty Engineering Officer as soon as the failure occurred. In a believable manner, Lt. Leigh was almost single-handedly able to bring this sub-plot to a close.
