Lieutenant Commander James Whittier (USS Courageous)

TF XO Unit of Merit Award

After joining the USS Courageous NCC-74290 game in April '07, James Whittier has proven himself to be a truely exceptional executive officer. During his tenure, James has overseen the members' participation, corecting them when they stray away from the guidelines of the game both in- and out-of-character. He has helped me process new applications and, at my request, has helped the applicant through the entire process from application review to biography rewrite and final approval. He has handled OOC conflicts and concerns between members with such efficency that the offending member has come back to say he "was impressed with how polite James was". He has taken charge during the Courageous third mission, creating the mission title, synopsis, and leading the mission as the acting captain of the Courageous. His leadership has lead to the discovery of a sabatour on board the Courageous, although at the time of this nomination the identity of the sabatour is still unknown. John, the member who plays the character John Moss, has expressed a desire to one day have his character become a commanding officer of his own game here in Obsidian Fleet.
