As we approach the close of 2018 I’d like to say just one thing. Thank you. This last few months have been interesting to say the least, in a busy way. Sadly this month your communications team has slowed down thanks to illness and real life christmas time choas but we hope to be back to normal asap.

This month we’ve had our monthly spotlight for USS Nogura. Please continue to request to do this as it really does get you out there. We have also continued to get some really fun news items out from USS Clepsydra and USS Nightingale.

Check them out if you haven’t so far.

Engagement

From 2nd November until 29th November we had our posts reach 2,207 which was down, Post engagement of 169 which was down 169 and four new likes. This reflects the fact we only did a small promotion this month over thanksgiving for the site as a whole instead of one news items. Our most engaging posts were our weekend questions so they will continue so keep an eye out.

News Items

We need everyone – players and COs alike – to submit news stories. These could be anything from an awesome mission on your sim to a great post you want to see everyone talking about. It also doesn’t take long to get them approved either. If you need assistance please contact either myself or @wolf as he the Community Engagement Champion tasked with helping

Social Media

If you didn’t already know we also have the following social media that we manage. Every follow and like counts towards getting us out there to potential players.

You can follow us here on Facebook and on Twitter

Golden Pumpkin Update

As you would have seen with the news item that the Joint Fleet Command put out in the week one of the players shortlisted for a Golden Pumpkin Award passed away last month. With that in mind with the re-purposing of the Golden Pumpkin award, I hope that you will help us make this award mean something.

Steve was one of those players that shone and included everyone in his wild and imaginative plots that made you think he was forever living up to the motto ‘go big or go home. He will truly be missed by the crew on SS Mary Rose. If you have a story that you would like to enter please send me the link at the email address below with the site link and players name. The only criteria for shortlisting is the post must have been posted to your site within this calendar year. We will be accepting entries up until 31st December.

Finally…

December is a busy, bustling month. It’s also a great moment to reflect on the plots written and stories achieved this year. Maybe the perfect time to create a new item to inform people what has happened on your ship this year.

As usual, if anyone needs assistance with recruitment or social media please reach out I would love to hear from you. Please contact me on discord goldun#8667 or email comms at obsidianfleet.net .

We can work together for our future.
