Intro

Well, the first month of the year is gone and over; I can’t believe how fast things are progressing.  It was a good month and a terrible month all rolled into one. But we made it through almost in 1 piece and ready to face 2020.  Many games saw an uptick in their numbers this month with many reporting good progress, for the start of the year. It seems we did have a bit of computer troubles, several including myself have had technical issues.  But, on the positive, I got a brand new computer out of the deal.

Task Force Update

This month saw the resignation of one of the Task Group Commanding Officers.  Along with the resignation, we did shuffle the games around and move all the open commands into 1 Task Group.  More to come on this later as things develop.

Task Force Stats

Total Simms: 16
Ships with CO’s: 11
Ships with Pending CO’s: 0
Open Commands: 5

Triton Base (Lowell Class Station)
USS Juno (Vesta Class)
USS Polaris (Galaxy Class)
USS Rook (Luna Class)
USS Tesla (Merian Class)

As always if you are interested in an open command, or have an idea for a new command feel free to contact me (Jakers#5080) or any of the Command Staff from Task Force 72.  I’d love to hear from anyone who is interested in running a game on the Cardassian side of the map!

Unit of Merit

This month the Unit of Merit award goes out to Commander Jacob Kane and the crew of the Athena.  Commander Kane has been an active presence on the discord, and his enthusiasm is very contagious.  He may come from a small ship and a small crew but don’t let that fool you. They are a strong bunch and hard at work getting the Athena off and running.  So give Commander Kane (Paul) a hearty congrats next time you see him online.

In Closing

Shorter report this month, but the start of the year is typically a bit slower.  A general reminder to all, please pass the Annual Survey on to your crews. It is extremely important that we get as many responses as possible.  The link to the survey can be found on the main Obsidian Fleet site. And with that, my report is over. Everyone have a safe February and I will this.   I was accused of making lame jokes this month so… I will leave you with this gem.
