I’m here, I’m here. I made it. Don’t leave without me!

Bad intro done, let’s jump right in, shall we?

Currently, the Task Force stands as such:

Total Sims: 16
Sims with CO’s: 9
Open Commands: 6
Command with Pending Applicant: 1

This month, we had the CO of the Archimedes step down after an LOA due to RL reasons. We wish her the best moving forward and she is sticking around at a player level. The Task Force Command Staff also had a proper meeting to try and set things out in terms of what we want to do to improve things for the Task Force, which I will summarise some of our discussion points as they pertain to everyone as time goes on, though not necessarily all in one go. However, we do want to iron out kinks before putting things out there, so don’t expect me to copy paste the full transcript. It’s 14 pages, I doubt you’d want to read it all, we did side track once or twice!

With that being said, our open commands are as follows:

USS Arcadia (Odyssey Class)
USS Centaurus (Galaxy Class)
USS Cross (Insignia Class)
USS Hercules (Prometheus Class)
USS Livingstone (Nebula Class)
USS Schrodinger (Merian Class)

If you wish to apply for any of these commands, you can go here (please make sure you’re logged into the OF site when you do), or if you wish to simply discuss the possibility of taking one of these commands, or that of another class, you can either email me at [email protected] or hit me up on discord, which oftentimes is the faster method.

Unfortunately, I do not have any award nominations this month. However, I would like to take a moment to say a very well done to everyone who’s kept going in difficult times. Remember, we’re all here to have fun, and that you’re continuing to write shows that. Each and every one of you is an inspiration.

So, I promised to tell you some of what we discussed. I’m not going to put everything in here, because some of it isn’t relevant to every single player in the fleet and frankly, I don’t want to bore you. So instead, I’ve picked one specific point to talk to you all about today to make the focus here. And that something is Sirius.

For those who don’t remember or don’t know, Starbase Sirius is something I asked JFC for and got last year in order to give the Task Force a hub. In my mind, the idea was a hub world akin to what you see in games such as Destiny or The Division, wherein the players can meet and interact with one another. It also gives a great location for anyone who happens to have been shot up a little bit and needs repairs, or any of those classes that just got access to Slipstream to have it fitted, or generally for some shore leave between missions. I stopped trying to sell this idea with all of you, and one of the things we discussed is it’s a great resource to have so let’s remind people it’s here!

It’s open to everyone to come visit, and I’ve permanently stationed the character of Oliver Lancaster there, so the TFCO is always available for a chat. If he’s not in his office, try the Sirius Sailor, the bar found in the main concourse of the base where he can sometimes be found in his off hours with a Scotch on the rocks. The TGCO’s also have offices on the base, though their availability is dependent on what missions they happen to be out on at the time!

Of course, you can’t very well visit without knowing where to go. Sirius can be found here, and anyone who wants to visit is absolutely welcome!

I’m going to wrap up there. I hope everyone is staying safe, thank you to everyone who is remaining active in this time and thank you to those who aren’t able to because they’re helping keep society running! I’ll raise a glass to you down in the Sailor!

May the beard protect you!
