Yay, I beat my counterpart from 72 to the punch this month! We’ll race again next time buddy. And seriously, we’re into the second quarter of 2019! Where is this year going? Seriously, is it just me or does time seem to go faster the older you get?

In all seriousness, welcome to the Task Force 47 report for March 2019. I’ll keep it brief, as I know you don’t come here for anything more than the opening joke and to see what Commands are open.

So, I’ll cut straight to the chase and give you the run down of the TF.

Total Sims: 18
Ships with CO’s: 11
Active Ships: 11
Ships with Pending CO’s: 1
Open Commands: 6

So, as you’ve probably noticed, there’s a new section of the summary for “Ships with Pending CO’s.” This is to accommodate the new structure of applying for Commands, in which a prospective CO is required to complete the CO Academy prior to assuming a Command. Any successful applicant for a Command who has yet to Complete Academy will receive a provisional acceptance until the Academy is completed. During this time, the Command will be placed on hold for the prospective CO. Full details on the new Command Application process will be released shortly.

So, with that being said, here is the list of open commands.

USS Juno (Vesta Class)
USS Harbinger (Luna Class)
USS Livingstone (Nebula Class)
USS August (Nova Class)
USS Hercules (Prometheus Class)
USS Schrodinger (Merian Class)

If any of these Commands appeal to any prospective CO’s among you, please, shoot me a line and I’ll happily discuss the matter with you further. I’d also like to remind you that even if you are not applying for a Command, you’re free to enrol in the Command Academy. Once that’s completed, you’re accredited as a CO and eligible to apply for a Command, pending references.

There will be an article out shortly explaining this procedure and I welcome any further questions about it if anyone so wishes.

In short, we’re beginning to see that growth I mentioned last month and I fully intend to see that growth continue, or my character’s name isn’t Oliver Thadeus Lancaster. Yes, his middle name is taken from the General in Incredible Hulk.

Now, onto the awards. For this month, there is no UoM from 47. This is not a reflection upon the TF or it’s members, but merely a lack of nominees presented this month. However, I do have some praise to dish out.

I would like to take a moment to just say thank you to all of you, for continuing to stick with this beloved hobby of ours. It is because of each and every one of you that this hobby continues to evolve and thrive, and I look forward to seeing how it moves forward, be that in our Prime Universe sims, our Kelvin timeline sims or even if we ever decide to dip our toes into the realm of Discovery in some way, shape or form. That’s not a “this is going to happen,” by the way, just a hypothetical. I suppose, what I’m getting at is I’m really looking forward to seeing how we continue to grow and develop from here.

And, of course, to see the mighty beards that shall spring forth!

On that note, I won’t take any more of your time except to say good luck to us all moving forward. I can’t wait to see what we all cook up next.
