Task Force 72 Report – September 2020

I’m a little late getting this out, so for that I apologize. No long winded intros this month, let’s just jump into the meat of it.

Arrivals and Departures

With Tesla free of her mooring clamps, and the Eagle under way, we are lucky to have a lot of activity ongoing right now with the 72 and ships coming into their own. However, we did lose a ship this month, the USS Elysium was called upon to have a higher position to fill, moving across to Task Force 47. While we will miss the Ely and her crew, I wanted to take a moment and congratulate Captain Lalor and her crew on their dedication to the Fleet and the success they have seen. I am sure you will do many great things, and I am sure Lancaster won’t be too hard on you.

Unit of Merit

This month I want to stop and recognize a good friend of mine, based on the recommendation of my TFXO, and that is Starbase 621. While I should rib him for his delayed report, I also want to recognize the amazing work he has done.

The crew of 621 has been hard at work developing an amazing story and plot, all while continuing to write increasingly engaging stories. On top of that, their Discord has been active, sharing a good laugh or two, and working hard to make sure they are writing the stories they want to tell. Having known Captain David for a while now, I am pleased to see 621 excelling the way it is, and look forward to seeing the stories they tell in the future. Congratulations to 621 this month, as our Unit of Merit.

Conclusion

September was a slow month for man crews, or at least a trying one. I know personally I have been dragged about with work in the real world, and seems to be a story I have heard a few times. That said, 72 has persevered through it all, and had a great showing this month. Even reports, while some were delayed due to the end of the month sneaking up on us, all of them were completed to the satisfaction of the team. We have punched through the rough patch and back out the other side to success, and I am sure October will be an amazing month for all.
