Task Force 72 | May Report 2021

I am a little late this month in posting my report, that one is on me guys! Been a busy month for myself, but I have a spare moment, so let’s crush some reports for you all real quick, yeah?

First and foremost, congrats to the entirety of 72 for filing their reports on time!

May was a strong month still for 72, even if we saw a slight downturn in activity, our numbers were great. Overall the Task Force continues to put out stories that have me reading at the wee hours of the night. We have seen some simms grow in size as well, adding 5 new character to the roster this month is seems (or at least having people come off LOAs). With this continued growth in the TF, I am excited to see what June holds!

Unit of Merit

The back and forth continues, and after a month of stellar performances, it looks like May’s Unit of Merit is going to the runner up from last month.

With nearly 4 and half posts per player, some quality writing that is near impossible to replicate, and a story line that has me wondering if it would be too obvious if I “borrowed” it, May will be going to the USS Athena, with Captain Kane and his crew deserving of every moment of recognition. If you haven’t taken the time to peek at the Athena and her posts as of late, you’re doing yourself a disservice, and I highly recommend you go take a look. The structure of posts and stories lends itself to a Star Trek novel unlike most I think we have seen.

Paul, you and your crew should be proud of the work they have been doing. I know you’ve been busy as of late too, so to see such great work come from your sim and your people is something you should be proud of I know I am proud of having you in 72.

Conclusion

May is always a bit slower of a month, as summer breaks start to be taken, the sun shines the hardest whole not being too hot, and people want to get out and enjoy the fresh air. That said, the usual dip we see around this time period was minimal this year, and I feel like it is a good reflection of what we can expect to see going forward.

I have a challenge for the Task Force to wrap this post up! For the month of June, picture yourself as a reporter, writing about the events taking place on your sim. What would they say, how would they post those to the world? You don’t need to actually post these as news items (though it would be cool if you did) however take a second to consider the actions and how the greater Federation might view them!

Should you have questions or concerns, you may reach me via email at [email protected], or should you need Captain Hawkins, he can be reached via [email protected]. Thank you all, and safe simming.
