Task Force 72 | November Report

Weird that we all missed the October recap… Weird indeed…

This is going to be two months of reports all rolled into one, both of which have been slower months (which we tend to expect). As with many of you, this period has been extremely busy for me, and I have missed participating in much of December’s Christmas celebrations  of our amazing COs. Allow me to paint my praises widely, as this will be the last report of 2021.

Task Force 72, you all deserve a wide praise with some of the hardest hurdles overcome in this year. The shake up of incorporating the former 47 ships into our numbers, the shake ups of the last year with drama, and through it all we have weathered quite the storm. I have seen some of you achieve numbers in far excess of former years, and overall seen a great degree of success from many of you. Sure, some of you have slowed down a hair, but overall the achievements of 72 cannot be understated.

My Executive Officer, Captain Hawkins deserves a special shout out. Paul, you have been a rock in all this, standing side by side with me, as the voice for my Captains where they needed it. Its immediately evident to me that they trust you, as do I, and I cannot have seen this year through without you.

And lastly, to the Top Brass, who have had to weather the hardest blows over the last 18 months, I think it bares repeating that this would all not be possible without your guidance and trust. From 72 to you, thank you.

Now, onto the numbers and all that jazz.
Now who could have put this in? Hawkins has won Best Chili dish of 72nd Task Force.

Arrivals and Departures

For those that missed it, the USS Hood stood down after 7 long years of quality writing. While we are sad to see her go, we are far more excited to see what her CO will be working on over on Task Force 47. Keep an eye on that, and what exciting things that are coming.

Unit of Merit

November is traditionally the month we see most Sims slow down, but we were lucky to see 3 sims increase, but the leader in this pack was hard to miss. With a 2.85 post-per-player increase from October to November, we have to give a huge shout out to Haumea Colony, who clinched our top spot for the month. Some of the single user posts this month were truly great reads, and large group posts coming out strong. So, Captain Mahone and your crew, congratulations!

Conclusion

Congratulations to all for a great 2021, and here is to a 2022 that is even better! Now, I’m going to go raid Lancaster’s liquor cabinet to celebrate…

Should you have questions or concerns, you may reach me via email at [email protected], or should you need Captain Hawkins, he can be reached via [email protected]. Thank you all, and safe simming.
