Although not physically imposing, Michael does have presence in a room. He is charming, funny, and everyone appears to enjoy listening to his many anecdotes. He usually combs his hair in a certain direction, and doesn’t mind that he is starting to thin out a little towards the crown of his head. His piercing blue eyes are captivating, and he has been told on many occasions that they are one of his best physical features.

His calm gestures show serenity and control over every situation. He never loses his head. He uses his mathematic mind to analyze the best and shortest way to solve problems, which sometimes is not the safest but it does get the job done. He is friendly, but slightly cold at first.
He emanates positive energy and strength, the people around him feel it and are positively affected. He is concerned by his fellow officers’ morale more than one would think at first sight. He can process multiple streams of incoming information and act on them simultaneously — in short, he’s a superb multitasker and can sift through and prioritize the things that need his attention rapidly.
He has developed a good demeanor for speaking to others, and has a natural talent for personnel management, coordination, and command.

Michael Meezo did not have a conventionally normal childhood. Born into a family of Starfleet Officers, the middle sibling of three children, Michael grew up onboard Starships and Starbases.

It wasn’t until his mother gained a posting at Starfleet Command that the family settled down into a relatively normal life. Michael was 16 years old when this happened, and initially found it hard to adjust to the variety of open spaces that Earth offered over Starfleet vessels.

With heavy encouragement from his parents, Michael applied to Starfleet Academy just after his eighteenth birthday. His brother, Owen, graduated from the Academy just as Michael was starting.

Michael’s first posting was onboard the USS Bounty. Initially Michael found it hard to find his confidence, something that surprised him. He had never been short of confidence growing up, but found it daunting not having the safety net of being a cadet anymore. However, with a bit of encouragement from his superiors, Michael started developing into a fine and dedicated young officer.

After three years onboard Bounty, Michael was offered a promotion and a transfer to the USS Polaris. Initially hesitant to leave the ship and the officers that had supported and nurtured him as a junior officer, Michael turned down the offer. After strong words of encouragement from Bounty’s commanding officer, Michael reconsidered the offer and transferred to Polaris.

Michael very quickly felt at home onboard Polaris, and made some friends amongst his colleagues. He even engaged in a brief romance with Ensign Lydia Sparkes. Despite the romance gradually fizzling out due to their workloads, Michael and Lydia remained very close during his time on Polaris. When Lydia was offered an opportunity to take up a senior officer position at Outpost 162, they both vowed to keep in touch as friends.

Three years later, and having gained yet another promotion due to his exemplary work onboard Polaris, Michael found himself inundated with offers of various postings on several starships and starbases. It would be a tough decision to make, but one that he would welcome with great excitement. He finally settled on an opportunity to become the USS Archer’s Chief Tactical Officer.

Working his way through the ranks onboard Archer, Michael would eventually reach the rank of Commander. Following the command training programme, he applied to become the Executive Officer on the USS Pandora. After successfully proving himself to be a capable, charismatic and dedicated XO, Michael was eventually offered the chance to command his own ship. The opportunity of a lifetime now awaited him.
