The overall design of Starfleet’s Extra-Vehicular Activity (EVA) suit has not changed in several hundred years. Remarkably more resilient and better equipped than its earliest ancestors, the EVA suit can protect its wearer from the vacuum of space as well as many of the low-to medium-intensity radiations and hazards found therein. Powered by standard sarium-krellide energy cells, it can support a humanoid life form for several hours before needing to be restocked with oxygen. It includes a communications system with a range slightly greater than that of a standard commbadge, basic computer interface command linkages and, of course, magnetized boots.
