Starbase 50 – Aug-19
Task Force 72, Task Group 72A
There were no real major updates to the game's website, as the big changes happened last month. This month was all about making sure every page was switched over and the minor edits were complete. At this point, the only change I'd like to complete is a new header image but that isn't very high on the list of priorities atm. Other than that, steady as she goes.
There was no added or lost crew this month. We had two players on LOA for part of the month, LtCmdr Danae and Lt th'Villos.
Chief Intel Officer
Chief Diplomatic Officer
Chief of Flight Operation

Assistant Chief Of Station Security

The game is the midst of its transfer from our old home on the USS Nogura, to the station Starbase 50; recruiting to take place after the switch has happened in game.
Currently running two missions:
The Collector - "We are all born alone and die alone. The loneliness is definitely part of the journey of life." ~Jenova Chen
Fresh from their vacation on Risa, the Nogura is ordered to rendezvous with a large ship traveling at slow speed in Federation space. Sent to make contact and establish a dialog, the Nogura encounters an alien vessel many times larger than anything in the Federation databases; almost 50 times bigger than any known ship. Starting their initial scans the object tractors the Nogura into the behemoth interior and begins to make the ship a part of itself, in effect assimilating the Nogura and her crew. Though the crew manages to get shields up, it's only a matter of time before the Nogura is forever trapped.
Sending out teams to explore the alien vessel, the crew find terrariums constructed for the thousands of other sentient beings captured and their descendants imprisoned. Many familiar and unfamiliar races are found, from across the Gamma and Delta Quadrants. Further, searching reveals that an AI, who calls himself the Collector, is responsible for the vessel's mission. The ship is eons old, traveling at very low speed (slower-than-light), capturing and adding aliens from ships and planets to its collection. The computers are degrading and have lost track of where it came from and why it's collecting.
While the crew seems to be powerless to escape, they opt to determine the nature of the Collector and help it and/or put an end to its mission while relocating the many intelligent beings aboard the vessel to new homes. Can the crew figure out this AIs plans and get their ship out in time, or will they be lost to the Collector for good?
New Beginnings - “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” —Seneca
With the crew of the Nogura headed off to the Collector, Neil Harrington and staff travel to Starbase 50, Poseidon Station, to finalize her built before going operational. Knowing that he will need an entirely new crew, Harrington debates transferring his crew to the station or giving himself the new start he thinks he needed. Events take a twist as Poseidon Station receives a distress call from the Nogura. As the rescue unfolds Harrington realizes what his future has in store for him and his crew.
Post Count: 26
A very good month and things are right on track. We are actively working on wrapping up the final Nogura mission, and going out with a bang, so we can move onto the station. At this rate, I am hoping to end the Nogura by the end of September.
