Task Force 72, Task Group 72C

Sim Updates

No major updates. There are some things on my to-do list for the site but they're on the back burner while I tend to other matters, like getting back to writing in-character.

Crew Updates

Commander Alexander Richardson has been promoted from Second Officer to First Officer. Commander Karen Villiers has stepped down as First Officer but will stay on the command team as Second Officer, bringing in a new character. They're swapping positions, in other words.

Two new crew members this month: Lt.(JG) Hannah Reynolds as Chief Counselor and Lt. Lorix as Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer.

Story Elements

Current mIssion is titled "Strange Bedfellows." New crew continue to arrive at Starbase Protector, which orbits the divided planet of Adalinde. Some of the senior staff have already attended the first briefing. The first assignment is an escort mission for our garrison vessel, the USS Repulse. A convoy of freighters is headed away from Adalinde with their payload of dilithium ore. Repulse will ride shotgun while they transit.

Unfortunately, the Repulse at the time of the briefing was in need of engine repairs, with critical engine components having gone missing. Thanks to some crew members taking the initiative the parts have been recovered and the repairs are now complete. The situation also gave us our first run-in with members of the Orion Syndicate, who seem to have a disturbingly larger presence on the station than previously thought.

Meanwhile, other members of the Syndicate are caught up in their own adventures, including a mysterious explosion on the privateer Bellicose and a bit of intrigue involving visiting officers from Triton Seabase.

Other Information

My response times to tags waned in the latter half of the month as I got sick and ended up in the hospital. Luckily there was still a fair amount of activity and events continue to move forward.
