Task Force 72, Task Force 72 Command

Sim Updates

The Endeavour's website remained largely unchanged this month. I have begun compiling new images for the tour form using Stage9's wonderful recreation of the USS Enterprise. I hope to have them integrated into the site over the course of May. We maintain our usual Discord activity and players routinely check-in with one another there. The Endeavour herself remains as she was last month: orbiting Langley Station while waiting for the next mission.

Crew Updates

The Endeavour's crew spent April getting acquainted with new characters and settling into a bit of shore leave after the conclusion of our last mission. Now we're ramping back up to tackle the pirate groups in the region. I'm pleased to see that everyone has taken to the scenario and demonstrated narrative initiative. Sadly, one of our new arrivals must depart to focus on her next big task: running a Task Group! So the Endeavour's crew congratulates Kether on her new role! We're excited for our departed player, but sad to see her go. This once more opens up the Chief of Security and Tactical Operations position for application. We do, however, have a new player on the Endeavour! Lieutenant JG Ema Ourielle joins the Endeavour as Chief Science Officer, a position we've had open quite some time.

Overall I'm incredibly proud of the crew. Our post numbers are up and players have demonstrated real initiative with the story in group posts.

Critical Open Positions:
Chief of Security and Tactical Operations
Chief Medical Officer

Non-essential positions:
Chief Counselor
Security Staff
Shuttle Pilots

Story Elements

Our mission begins with the USS Vancouver, a Steamrunner-class starship, limping into port after being ambushed by a dozen pirate vessels armed with anti-matter weapons. The Endeavour's crew has begun their investigation of the Vancouver's damage and developing countermeasures to these deadly weapons. Soon the Endeavour will leave port for the site of the ambush to determine the pirate's origin and the source of their weapons.

Season 4 Description:

With attention turned toward the Romulan Relief Effort, piracy has taken hold of the critical trade lanes between the fledgling Cardassian Union and United Federation of Planets. Emboldened by the absence of Starfleet and Federation security forces, pirates and separatists have launched increasingly daring raids against Federation and Cardassian merchant vessels. Two weeks ago a pirate organization known as The Corsairs destroyed four Federation-flagged transport ships and severally damaged the USS Vancouver.

The Endeavour’s mission is threefold: (1) Protect critical aid convoys destined for Cardassia, (2) determine the source of the pirate attacks, and (3) neutralize the pirates’ base of operations. To aid in its mission, Starfleet Command assigned a detachment from the United Federation of Planets Frontier and Trade Authority (UFP FTA) to assist the Endeavour’s crew in the investigation and interdiction. Two FTA patrol cutters (USS Jaguar and USS Puma) have been tasked to supplement the Endeavour’s efforts in the sector.
