Task Force 72, Task Force 72 Command

Sim Updates

The Endeavour's website didn't recieve any new updates this month; however, I will be integrating news posts and mission posts into the Discord platform. This will alert Discord users to news items or mission posts as they go active on the site. I hope this becomes a better way to notify the crew and make sure everyone is on the same page. The Endeavour itself is in good shape, having survived an engagement, and will be laying over at Langley Station for resupply and R&R.

My promotion to Acting TFCO has increased our presence, and the Endeavour will hopefully serve as a good example for the rest of the TF and the fleet at large.

Crew Updates

Sadly one of our best left us this month. The player behind our CMO Remak Davik has departed from the Endeavour to focus on his own (and by all accounts excellent) simulation. We wish him the best, and I am confident that the Valkyrie will thrive under his care. We did, however, gain a new player to fill out our Operations Department: Mercutio Rawlins has joined the Endeavour at Langley Station. He's hit the ground running, and I am sure he will be a fine addition.

Two characters have received promotions this month: Yvette Beauvoir has been promoted to Lt. Cmdr. for her character's service record and the player's commitment. The ship's Executive Officer, Alidar, will also receive a promotion to full Commander to reflect his new position and the player's dedication. The Endeavour would not be here without both of them. In addition, Lt. JG Beatrice Power will assume the Chief Medical Officer position.

For open positions, I'd like to highlight Chief Engineer and Chief Science Officer. We have several assistant department heads and enlisted personnel positions open as well.

Story Elements

After months of teasing and promises we have FINALLY begun season 4! Season 3 ended with a big battle over a Cardassian station and boarding action. The Endeavour has vanquished the neural parasite threat to the Federation. She is now putting in for R&R at Langley Station where her next adventure begins.

In addition, enthusiasm for next season is quite high. Season Four focuses on anti-piracy operations in the old Cardassian DMZ. Details provided below.

With attention turned toward the Romulan Relief Effort, piracy has taken hold of the critical trade lanes between the fledgling Cardassian Union and United Federation of Planets. Emboldened by the absence of Starfleet and Federation security forces, pirates and separatists have launched increasingly daring raids against Federation and Cardassian merchant vessels. Two weeks ago a pirate organization known as The Corsairs destroyed four Federation-flagged transport ships and severally damaged the USS Leopold. In response to the brazen attack, Starfleet Command ordered the USS Endeavour into the region.

The Endeavour’s mission is threefold: (1) Protect critical aid convoys destined for Cardassia, (2) determine the source of the pirate attacks, and (3) neutralize the pirates’ base of operations. To aid in its mission, Starfleet Command assigned a detachment from the United Federation of Planets Frontier and Trade Authority (UFP FTA) to assist the Endeavour’s crew in the investigation and interdiction. Two FTA patrol cutters (USS Jaguar and USS Puma) have been tasked to supplement the Endeavour’s efforts in the sector.
