Toned build with hair past her shoulders that is worn up when on duty. She does not wear the traditional bajoran earring ever as she has forsaken the prophets.

Naxea tends to come off as rough to those that don’t know her. However, she is a loyal, dedicated officer and even more loyal friend. She is intelligent, learns quickly, and very organized. In good physical shape.

She is impious to religions, believing that people make their own fates. Although organized, she pushes herself to her best at all times, with others labeling her as a perfectionist.

She enjoys pottery-making, yoga, gymnastics, orbital sky diving, and Parrises Squares.

Naxea was born on Bajor in 2363 during the final years of the occupation. She still recalls the hardships her family endured. At the age of 4, she lost her father to the Cardassians after he was killed fighting for the Bajoran Resistance. Her mother in consequence was tortured, raped, and imprisoned while Naxea remained with friends of her family. It was during this early time that Naxea lost her faith in the prophets, wondering why deities that her people worshipped, allowed them to die and suffer. A few months later just before the Cardassians withdrew, her mother gave birth to a bajoran/cardassian child. Naxea hated her brother, often ignoring the infant. After the Cardassians left, her mother moved to Deep Space Nine, after learning that the station was going to be ran jointly by Starfleet and the Bajoran Provisional Government. Naxea was soon enrolled into the station’s school ran by Keiko O’Brien. It was under Keiko’s guidance, that Naxea learned about science and other subjects, leading her to take critical and scientific approaches to subjects as well as learning to accept other species. This upset her mother, who was a spiritual person, believing in the Prophets and the Emissary.

At the age of 10, with tensions rising with the Dominion, Naxea’s mother took Naxea and her brother and moved to the Federation Colony New France. There, Naxea continued to learn and slowly made new friends. It was at this time, Naxea was truely happy, dispite still disliking her brother and arguing with her mother about her beliefs. Naxea did extemely well in school and took an interest in gymnastics, earning a spot on the New France Gymnastics Team.

After graduating high school, Naxea had been impressioned by the Starfleet Officers she had met while on Deep Space Nine and New France Colony, she felt she wanted to help others and serve the Federation that had saved her and her mother from the Cardassians. In 2381, she applied to and was accepted into Starfleet Marine Academy, to which her mother was surprisingly proud.

During her Sophmore year, she earned a spot on the Academy’s Parrises Squares Team and was great at the sport due to her gymnastics background. Naxea pushed herself hard in the Academy to the point it worried some of her instructors and fellow classmates. In 2385, Naxea graduated from Starfleet Academy and was assigned to the School of Infantry for her training. After twelve weeks, she accepted an assignment on the USS Forrestal as a Platoon CO. She quickly earned the respect of those around her due to her firm grasp of tactics and being approachable by her fellow Marines which was not always the case with newly commissioned officers. In 2389, she passed Orbital HALO training as well as SCUBA training and passed the Starfleet Marine Raider Indoc Training and was assigned as a Marine Raider Platoon Commander aboard Deep Space Fifteen. There, she proved herself under fire while boarding a freighter for a hostage resue mission against Orion Pirates. Soon after, she was reassigned to the USS Elysium as it’s Marine Detachment CO.

While serving aboard the Elysium, Naxea met and fell in love with S’hib with the two eventually marrying in a small ceremony per Sequus Traditions. Not long after, Naxea became pregnant and gave birth to the first Sequus/Bajoran infant, in September of 2397 and naming her Sle’anna Azhul.
