Damien stands at average height with a lean but muscular build. He usually has his dark hair cut relatively short, often times being found with it spiked. When not on duty, he is usually found wearing jeans and a red hoody.

Damien is a bit of a nerd at heart, spending a lot of his time growing up with his nose buried in comic books. He has a good heart, and is usually ready with one quip or another. However, when he’s crossed he has a tendency to go in headstrong and reckless, something noted by Academy staff on more than one occasion, and listed as the reason why he’s doubtful to receive command of his own team outside of the Academy.

Damien was born July 31st 2036 to Mark McGinnis and Elena Malange on his Father’s Kansas farm. Six months after he was born, his mother left with no more than a note saying “I’m sorry.” Following this, Mark was a doting Father on his son, often to Damien’s chagrin.

By the time Damien was 15, he had a reputation as a bit of a practical joker, oftentimes ending up in detention for it, where he’d simply sit and read comics. When he was 18, he left for college, studying history. However, when he was 20, he was kicked out of college for a fight he got into with another student in a bar.

Following this, he joined up to the Earth Patrol Force and entered the Academy. This wasn’t out of desire to be an officer. He simply didn’t want to spend his days on his Father’s farm. After a gap year, he entered the Academy at the age of 21.

He was often times finding himself in trouble, be it for pranks or for the occasional fight he found himself in. In 2049, following a series of exams, he was assigned to Gamma Squad as it’s Cadet Commander. However, in September of 2050, following an incident involving the Commandant’s Daughter, a shower and purple dye, he found himself stripped of his position and assigned as a lab assistant to Professor Malcolm Hendrix. Shortly after this, Damien along with a pair of other cadets found himself in possession of a Solar Crystal and Morpher, becoming the Red Solar Force Ranger
