Task Force 47 Report – June 2020

Slow and steady wins the race. That is my official reasoning for why I’m the last TF report in and I will not deviate.

The line must be drawn here! This far and no further!

Quoting Jean-Luc Picard in the best TNG movie outing aside, June was a semi active month that kind of moved us in so many different directions to basically keep things relatively static, which as I’ve said before, consistency is good. That’s the first thing you learn when you play Yu-Gi-Oh!

Before I go into how we’ve moved about while remaining static, however, I’ll give you my traditional list of how the TF is looking at the moment.

•Total Sims: 16
•Sims with CO’s: 9
•Open Commands: 7

So, as you can see, the numbers are the same. However, this month saw the resignation of the CO of the Harbinger. We wish him all the best with the future and hope to see him back in that centre seat again one day.

Now, this brings me to why we’ve kept static numbers. This month we’ve also seen a new sim join us from outside the fleet. Specifically the USS Gladiator. So I’d like to give a very warm welcome to Captain Hawkins and his crew, I look forward to working with you!

Now that I’ve gone through something that I made sound far more complex than it is, the open commands are as follows:

•USS Arcadia (Odyssey Class)
•USS Centaurus (Galaxy Class)
•USS Harbinger (Luna Class)
•USS Hercules (Prometheus Class)
•USS Livingstone (Nebula Class)
•USS Schrodinger (Merian Class)
•USS Valiant (Defiant Class)

If you wish to apply for any of these commands, you can apply through the CO application form on the Obsidian Fleet site, found in the Join OF menu (please make sure you’re logged into the OF site when you do), or if you wish to simply discuss the possibility of taking one of these commands, or that of another class, you can either email me at [email protected] or hit me up on discord, which oftentimes is the faster method. If you wish to discuss it with both myself and the TFXO, then you can CC in [email protected]

Now, with that said, it’s UoM time. I’m afraid there are none this month. That is not to say anyone has done badly this month, I am on the face of things proud of people, and those who didn’t score 100% on last month’s audit did make improvements. However, I do not feel there is a candidate for the award at this time. With that being said, I will say well done to those sims who have made those improvements in light of last month’s audits, I’m very proud of the work you’ve done, and of the continued work of those who did do well!

I’m going to leave you there, partly because I’ve ran out of things to talk about and don’t fancy rambling when things are tough enough for people as is, and partly because I am now running late for work. Whoopsie!

May Riker’s beard smile upon you all and I’ll catch you next time.
