August is over and Pumpkin Spice Lattes have returned to Starbucks! It’s time to move into Fall with cozy sweaters, a good book, and more writing in the Star Trek Universe. Unless you’re on the half of the world where water swirls the other way and spring is coming to you, then I suppose it’s time for cold bevvies, ice cream and more Star Trek Writing.
August was a pretty steady, if middling month for Task Force 72. As vacations wrapped up (my own included) and stories came to a close, we saw a general slow down. We expected as much, and expect to see things pick up as those of us with little ones, or are in school, find ourselves with a few extra minutes to breathe.
We have a new CO joining us, currently going through the new and improved CO Academy taking place on Esquimalt Station. If you have anyone who may be interested in taking a crack at the centre seat, we are ironing out the issues we typically see with new sites, so we will see how it all goes soon!
Lastly – The Captain of the Mary Rose noted she is actively recruiting. If you have been interested in the civilian side, serving on an older ship, give her a once over and see!

We have a new Commanding Officer that has been accepted into the Academy! Please welcome Lieutenant Commander Toni Turner to the Command Chair! She’ll be undergoing training as a CO while we find her the right sim.
I am also officially opening up the recruitment drive for Commanding Officers. Do you have a member of your crew who shows interest? Maybe it’s you and you want to take the centre seat for yourself! Maybe you are from another fleet, looking for a new home and new adventures! Task Force 72 would love to have you!
