Another week has escaped me – This ‘week’ we have Task Force 72’s Group Directors Ship – USS Vesta. Let’s hear from the Game master himself.

BRIEF OUTLINE OF YOUR GAME AND THEME

“The fastest and most advanced ship in the fleet, the Vesta is a Deep Space Multi-Mission explorer designed to hold its own in a fight, comparable in fire-power to the large Sovereign class cruisers, with the advanced science facilities on more science-dedicated ships. With her Quantum Slipstream Drive, the Vesta can get from one end of the Federation to the other in a matter of days.

Our crew focuses on missions that explore the themes of humanity, more in line with the storytelling of DS9. From a debate on the ethical nature of the Prime Directive, to a ship split across different times and spaces, we take our time to truly explore ideas, using combat as only a last result. “

CURRENT MISSION

Shakdown, Shake Up

Due to the USS Vesta being docked for serious repairs, the crew of the Vesta is tasked with performing a simple shakedown of the USS Nelson, an Inquiry-class cruiser, to test her systems. However (now) Rear Admiral Minawara away from the ship as he takes on duties related to the rebuilding of Task Force 72 following Rear Admiral Harrington’s removal from the position. The crew must get on with shake ups to the command structure, as well as a change to scenery. While they thought things would be smooth, the mission is anything but as an old adversary arrives to raise questions…

FAVOURITE POST IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS?

Two is the Loneliest Number

It’s such a beautiful ending to such an interesting arc. The ebb and flow of a person stuck for millenia as a child, and how they navigate those changes in life, and how they find themselves tied back to a time they had forgotten. It’s such a beautiful piece, composed as a melody to follow the story of the teenaged Only, with this post being the sad ending note of a beautiful symphony.

FAVOURITE THING ABOUT YOUR GAME?

Our game is slow, by comparison, but truly comes down to a group writing effort. Our ideas evolve naturally, excitedly seeking out new things to explore, and ideas to turn into a plot that fits right in with the classic Trek of TOS, TNG, or even early DS9.

OPEN POSITIONS

  • Chief Strategic Operations Officer.

FINALS THOUGHTS….

This isn’t from the GM but Ehestri – This game is run by one of our Group Directors and it truly tells the most amazing stories with a close nit group of people
