So, here we are, April 2019 report. Insert joke about time slipping away and how I’m getting old here. Just going to leave that prompt there, see if you guys can come up with a better opening pun than me. Instead, an anecdote and some sentiment.

When my new counterpart in 72 first took over, the first thing I asked him was how punctual he is with reports as I wanted to win the race this month. Best laid plans of mice and men and all that. Still, well done to you my friend! May your reign in this friendly competition continue!

I would like to take a moment here to wish his predecessor the best. Going to miss you, mate.

Sentimental moment over.

Anyway, we’re now into the second third of the year. We’ve unfortunately lost a sim in the form of the Centaurus due to the resignation of her CO. We wish them the best in their future endeavours. However, we’ve also seen the return of the Archimedes to OF, so this department is choosing to view the month as a glass half full situation, and TF growth is our current Endgame. Yay, relevant pun!

So, here’s the TF rundown.

• Total Sims: 18
• Ships with CO’s: 11
• Active Ships: 11
• Ships with Pending CO’s: 1
• Open Commands: 6

The currently open Command are as follows;

• USS Juno (Vesta Class)
• USS Centaurus (Galaxy Class)
• USS Schrodinger (Merian Class)
• USS Harbinger (Luna Class)
• USS August (Nova Class)
• USS Hercules (Prometheus Class)

As ever, if any prospective CO’s wish to look into taking Command, please, feel free to shoot me a line regarding the positions. If you don’t see a ship you like, or have a great idea for a TF47 sim within OF, over in our nice playground by the Romulans and Klingons, still shoot me a line, I’d love to chat with you about your ideas and see if we can actualise them.

Now, unfortunately no award nominations were received in 47 this month. What there are, however, are some good writers. And some magnificent beards. None as magnificent as those of Jonathan Frakes or Brian Blessed, but we can all but dream!

On that note, my friends, I shall sign off. It was short and sweet this month, but hey, always leave the crowd wanting more. Whoever can tell me who said that wins absolutely nothing, except the respect of a man with a terrible sense of humour!

Oh, and if you read everything from the word “nothing” in Shatner’s voice, you win life.
