November is upon us and here in the United States we begin a time of giving thanks. The end of the month will see the greatest of all holidays, Thanksgiving. So give me a moment to kick off this time of year by saying thanks to all of you. Thank you for your time and effort and your stories. But most of all thank you for being a part of this community that we call Obsidian Fleet. The 29ers have been toiling away giving you stories from all of our yesterdays. These unique sims have so much to offer have a look at the different times and places that we cover. Task Force 29 is a unique simming hub, we a lot of niche and specialty sims so please have a look at what we have to offer. That is enough of my blather. So without any gilding the lily and no further ado I give you the state of 29…
Task Force Update
The tumultuous stories continue for our ships in their respective timelines. We will start with the Academy on Earth. Life at the Academy is coming together nicely. Captain O’Neill certainly has her work cut out for her with these Cadets. One wonders what is in store for this rag tag group.
Next we check in with the USS Loki. This sim reminds me of an old comic book series that I loved when i was younger. The What If? series. The Loki supposes what if the Dominion won the war. Currently her crew is heading to the Loki system to commandeer a vessel for their purposes. One wonders if they will be successful in bringing back Starfleet and beating back the Dominion.
Up next on our tour is the Atlantis, and they are still lost. (jk) At times when I read the stories of the Atlantis I am reminded of a psychological thriller with the way this crew reacts. The hope, the loneliness, the fear is all there in abundance. Really great stuff. The Atlantis is on course back to Earth but the Vrav is hot on their tail. Will they make it? As the Atlantis’ CO states “Atlantis’ crew is really coming together to tell stories that neither Enterprise or Voyager could or did.” Indeed they are and I can’t wait to see what is next.
Finally we stop in on the Sovereign. The Sovereign remains in dock as her crew boards. Once Captain Terim has a full crew the ship will launch and usher in a new era of Starfleet exploration during a tumultuous time.
Our CO in the Academy continues his course work and we hope they will be graduated shortly. If you need I am available to assist you in anyway. This includes but is not limited to having Admiral Ford drop in for a surprise inspection lol. Please let me know if you need anything at any time.
