I would like to quote myself from last month:
Wow.

This month saw 406~ posts written in Task Force 72…”

What I saw as an astounding achievement in the community, and a month to celebrate, you lot saw it as a challenge. April saw 438 posts. That is a 32 post increase (107% increase) and an average post per player of 5.76. It has been a stellar couple of months for Team 72, and in that, I am proud to share all of that with you. 3 sims saw double digit posts/player this month as well, with many sims seeing significant increases in player engagement.

So, how about we see if we can’t push that up to 500?

Arrivals, Changes and Departures

We welcomed the Hou Yi to the fleet in April, a new sim, another Reliant! If you see Mike Sirotek around the fleet, say hello! That means the Hou Yi will be looking for her launch crew, so this may be the time to sign up early!

Outstanding Post Award

Fire Team –  Commander Anson Corduke MD & Major Declan Finn & Lieutenant Tahriik

From the Nominator(s):

For the post ‘Fire Team’ and its breath-taking action scene which depicts an encounter with the ruthless Pyrryx. It shows in great details what Marines do best, showing their bravery, courage, and dedication in minute details. A great epic read.

This was a fantastic read and I highly recommend you take the time to read it. It showcases the moments of fear and terror, the sense of hopelessness, and the push forward to keep things from truly falling apart. The way the battles ebb and flow, and aren’t a constant onslaught of gun-toting, quote throwing, oo-rah Marines made this feel as though it came from a fully published book. It’s not hard to agree that this post is deserving of the Outstanding Post Award.

Conclusion

What a wonderful month we had! If you all keep the pace, then May promises to be even more exciting than March was. Should you have questions or concerns, you may reach me via email at [email protected], or should you need Captain Kane, he can be reached via [email protected]. Thank you all, and safe simming.
