First of all, my apologies for missing last month. It has been a chaotic couple of months in my household, so I am just getting my feet back under me.
The Task Force slowed slightly these last two months, as it tends to do in the summer of the Northern Hemisphere and I expect it. Lots of vacations happening and lost of ebb and flow across the board. As these months come to an end, and normalcy once more takes hold, I imagine we will see this balance out. But I have some exciting news this month – but first…

Some major changes over the last couple months. The Hou Yi and the Gwydion have taken new commanding officers. We are also seeing the emergence of the USS Tanjura, a specialty sim, and lastly, a fourth new CO will be joining us shortly!

Promotions
It has been a long while since I have had the chance to do one of these promotions. I’ve been looking forward to finally clearing this one off my deck.
The man of the house is one who needs little introduction. He is active across the fleet. He loves bacon. He is ostensibly “The Man”. He is also one of the finest people I have ever had the chance to write with. And, most importantly – he is the Task Force’s Executive Officer. While it may all happen in the background, while my medals are polished and my long winded responded fed to all of you, he has worked hard to make sure people have an ear to listen to, and a pillow to scream into. He’s mentored many of you, and will mentor many more.
With all the posturing out of the way, this month I am proud to (very belatedly) promote Captain Jacob Kane to the rank of Commodore.
As per tradition, drinks are on him tonight.
