Another month, another bar of gold pressed latinum.
Well, that’s how I’m choosing to look at this month. This is my second report and I’d like to think I’ve got a bit more of an idea as to what I’m doing this time, but I’ll let you guys judge. I’m going to go ahead and sum up each section here and now.
1. Overview
2. Events
3. UoM
4. Conclusion
5. Open Positions.
So, having done that, lets begin.
1. Overview
Number of Sims: 23
Number of CO’d Sims: 15
Number of Active Sims: 14
Number of Open Sims: 8
Number of CO reports Submitted: 14
Number of CO’s who did not file reports: 1
Overall Assessment: If I’m honest, I’m happy with this result for the month. We’ve got one report not submitted, which isn’t ideal but I would always rather have one than ten. We’ve got a single sim with the CO currently going through the Academy, and I’m extremely confident in his abilities based on what I’ve seen thus far. More on that later.
2. Events
This month has been something of a acclimating month. Both myself and the new TGCO for 47-A have been getting used to our new positions, and I have to say, I’m extremely proud of him in this regard. We’ve also got a new CO, our own probie, and he’s doing great.
As far as what’s going on with the TF, there are discussions being had but they are going to be kept as closed door matters while some kinks are ironed out. I hope to be able to discuss with you all what we are planning in next month’s report, so we shall see.
3. UoM
So, here’s the two UoM winners for this month. This has been a tricky one, but I’d like to think I’ve made the right judgement on the nominations put to me. I’m not going to be adding anything to the nominations put forward by their respective TGCO’s, and I would like to say all the nominations for this month were good showings, and I’m happy to have had a nomination from every TG, thus actually giving me something to do here!
Silver: USS Pioneer
“This Month I would like to put my newest Ship the USS Pioneer up,
the Commander hasn't even had the ship up the full month and already he has 9 active players
and 18 posts. They will be a welcome addition to the fleet once they are fully operational.” (Captain Santiago Vela, TGCO, TG47-C)
Gold: Starbase 80
“This sim has been among the gold standards in
Obsidian Fleet. This past month SB80 had nearly 120 posts. I cannot say enough about the
excellent leadership Captain K’Tox has shown in this endeavor. Keeping all of the various stories
straight on a sim this size is difficult at best, but he and his crew handle it superbly.” (Captain Brett Watson, TGCO, TG47-B)
I’d just like to say I love getting to give these awards, so please, all of you, continue to do the great writing you do every month and give us all chances to recognise you for your brilliance!
4. Conclusion
All in, I’m going to call this a successful month. It’s not necessarily the most impacting month, but we have seen some fantastic work from everyone, and I would like to take a moment to recognise and congratulate each and every one of the CO’s and their crew in this Task Force. You’re all absolutely fantastic, and it’s my absolute honour to work with each and every one of you.
Below will follow a list of Open positions, following the same suit as last month; CO, XO, Flight Controller, Chief Engineer, Chief Science Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Security. Links will be attached to each entry.
