Task Force 72 | June 2021 Report

June was a slower month that previous, brought on no doubt by the heat. Here in Canada it was hot enough to kill all of my herbs, so this report will be lacking in any real flavour.

Ha.

Anyways, terrible jokes aside, the month was a bit of a slow down, and with all the holidays off the beginning of the month I am sure July will be a bit faster paced. Further, with Obsidian Day coming down the pipe I am sure there will be plenty of new and exciting missions on the way.

That all said, stay safe, drink water, and question why anyone would willingly choose to live in this heat. Arizona, Australia, looking at you… And enjoy the beautiful outdoors when you can!

Unit of Merit

The wonderful people of Task Force 72 are always impressing me. Even in a rough month where we were down, there are always gems amongst everything coming down. Strong writing, strong storytelling, and bits that show strength. When looking at Merit for the month, I always step back and look at the whole picture. And this month, looking at the whole picture becomes a little trickier, since I now have to listen to an audio novel as well…

That’s right, with strong growth in a month that saw huge slowdown, and while running what I consider to be the most unique sim in the current community, the award for June has to go to the Eagle. Not only did the crew perform admirably this month, but her Captain has also been working on an amazing podcast version of the TTRPG game.

The ability to manage one sim is rare, let alone running two amazing sims at once. Please give Commander Carter a round of applause, and a round of high fives to their crew!

Conclusion

No real conclusions, just a round of applause for everyone!

Should you have questions or concerns, you may reach me via email at [email protected], or should you need Captain Hawkins, he can be reached via [email protected]. Thank you all, and safe simming.
