Task Force 47 New Year Report

1.Introduction

Happy new year! Yes, I know I’m late off the mark on that, but it felt wrong not to begin the first Task Force report of the year with any other words. So I went with what’s right.

Now, this report will be a brief one. Sort of a sum up of everything, let you all know what’s been happening. I’ll throw in a brief summary for good measure and that is about it for the New Year report.

1.Introduction (See Above)
2.Summary of Task Force Status
3.Awards
4.Conclusion
5.Open Positions List

Guess I’d better move swiftly on.

2.Summary of Task Force Status

So, first of all, the boring stuff; the stats.

Total Number of Sims: 23
Total Number of Sims with CO’s: 17
Total Number of Active Sims: 14
Total Number of Open Commands: 6
Number of Sims which Did Not Submit Reports: 3. 1 excused due to taking command in last week of month.

So, this month we saw a gain and a loss. The Cross lost her CO. However, the Juno gained one. So it’s kind of a double edged sword (and you now know at least one of the Commands I’ll be mentioning in my open positions list at the end). I do, however, wish the CO of the Cross, if he is reading this, all the best with the future going forward.

3.Awards

Right. Now then. Awards. Yes, let’s do those next. I did promise you them, didn’t I?

I’d like to take a moment to recognise that each and every one of the sims under my command deserve recognition, and I am damned well proud to be their TFCO. However, I feel it only fair that I stick to the nominations I am given, lest I start throwing awards out that it isn’t my place to give! Without further ado, the UoM’s for December 2017!

Silver UoM: USS Archimedes: “The Archimedes is coming along quite nice. Her Commander has started a shakedown while she finished COALs and I would have to say it’s been a pleasure to read all of the posts with her new crew.” (Captain Santiago Vela, TG47-C TGCO)

Gold UoM: USS Valkyrie: “I know that we don’t focus entirely on post count but the Valkyrie had an amazing month for a holiday period, with 75. They also endured the loss of a player character unexpectedly and yet they continued on, showing grit and determination. Additionally, their story is well written and proceeding apace. I heartily endorse them for UoM.” (Captain Malcom Llwyedd, TG47-A TGCO)

4.Conclusion

As I stated above, well done to everyone for this year, for this brilliant year. It’s had changes, it’s had surprises (I didn’t expect to be doing this job this year. Funny how stuff works out.) But through it all, we’ve weathered everything thrown at us, and we have come through stronger for it. So well done to us all, and here’s to a fantastic 2018!

Now, the bit you all came for.
